Heading Southwest by Finisterra takes in some of Portugal’s most beautiful landscapes. The first half of the route is all about the climbing, with roughly 10,000m in the first 500km. After that, the terrain flattens out but the headwinds, false flats, and lack of resupply mean it’s still no picnic.
The inaugural race was won by Sam Thomas in just over 47 hours, so this is a race that fast riders can wrap up in under two days but many riders may take twice the time.
