Description
This iconic race tackles a brutal loop of the Scottish Highlands, with a bucket load of hike-a-bike along the way. It's a relaxed affair though, with entry simply requiring a donation to the John Muir Trust and registering your own tracker. And that's because the route itself is the main focus, with weather, terrain and remoteness proving incredibly challenging for riders of all abilities. Despite that, the race is hugely popular, partly thanks to it exploring some of the most dramatically beautiful riding in Scotland.
